One of my favorite third year projects completed in 2014: Temple; A skate park and tattoo parlor in the old Holy Rosary Church.

PS. Only have sketchup views of the space so excuse the image quality.

Simplicity

Simplicity

From the Nocturnal Blogger:

The reason why I started this blog is to document the journey of my BTech year and share the adventures of a nocturnal student named Amanda; hence the name :-).

The project I am currently working on is the proposal to revive the state of railway travel in Port Elizabeth beginning with the renovation of the historically significant railway station in Central. Through the application of an old-new design approach I would like to create a tourist facility based on a contemporarily designed, interactive information centre with additional amenities such as a coffee shop and overnight accommodation.

The theories I will be looking at with regard to the project are:

- Adaptive Reuse

- Emphasis through contrast

- Information, Interaction Design and User Interface

- Hotel Design

Thanks for your interest and would appreciate it if you can take the time to contribute to my academic progress through your comments.
